The United States Pony Club conducts at least one Championship each year - over a three year, recurring format:

Year 1 : Festival - This championship event is held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, the home of USPC Headquarters.

Year 2 : In the year immediately following Festival, only one championship is held, referred to as Championships, and contested at the Virginia Horse Center, Lexington, Virginia.

Year 3 : In the second year following, or the year preceding, Festival, two championships are held, referred to as Eastern Championships and Western Championships.  Each championship is contested at sites located in eastern and western geographical locations.

To compete at a National Championship ( Festival, Eastern, Western ) a competitor must have competed in a Regional or Inter-regional qualifying rally in the Novice, Intermediate, Junior or Senior Division and met qualifying standards to advance to a championship event.  Specific requirements for qualification to compete in a National Championship event can be found in the Tetrathlon Rule Book, Section 1 : General Regulations.
